Hip Hop Monday: Grandmaster Flash Ft. Busta Rhymes – Bounce Back

More brand new beats to check out this week. 2009 is shaping up nice with some great music coming out – makes a change after the grim end to 2008!
Grandmaster Flash, one of the pioneers of Hip Hop and Busta Ryhmes, a man with some of the slickest flows have joined forces for a new track to kick start 2009.
If this is Flash on his producing tip, I’m looking forward to hearing a lot more – there’s a name check at the front for DJ Scratch, so I’m assuming he had some involvement.
Busta sounds like he’s jumped right back to 1998 with the lyrics and is sounding fresh! Enjoy!

Ludacris Ft. T-Pain – One More Drink

Born Christopher Bridges, Ludacris has been dropping serious heat for a long time now. Taken from his new album Theater of the Mind, One More Drink is sure to hit a few nerves out there. Writing from a ‘Beer Goggles’ approach, the new track featuring T-Pain is not only great to listen to, but they nailed it with the video too! Enjoy!

Last weekend I discovered this track while searching Youtube for DJ Quik. I don’t usually go for tracks featuring 2pac, but this worked for me.
Unfortunately, sources of AllHipHop.com have reported MC Breed as having left us this weekend [Saturday 22nd November], so this week’s Hip Hop track is to respectably celebrate an artist as well as bump to some more New Jack Swing.
Rest in peace, MC Breed.

Following on from last weeks summer vibe I thought I would try and combat this cold with a West Coast groove.
DJ Quik has been at the backbone of West Coast rap for a long while, just not in the same light as the likes of Dr Dre et al. He hooked up with Tony Toni Tone in 1996 to add some New Jack Swing to this R&B group. Taken from their last album House Of Music, here’s top 10 hit, Lets Get Down. Enjoy.
