Happy New Something!

Its been a while since I’ve posted, but due to some serious RSI problems I’ll keep it short and sweet.
Its January again, and that can only mean internet ninjas, bad vibes and dark days. The snow was great, but the forecast for complaining was something I could have done without.
We’ve just had a major event in the DJ/Tech calendar in the form of Winter NAMM 2010.
The most interesting of this (for me) was the announcement of new products from both Serato and Ableton. More >

Serato Scratch Live 1.9.1 Released

After what seems like only five minutes since the initial 1.9 release, the team at Serato have just put out their biggest bug-fix release to date and included some heavy new options for the SP6 player.
I cant wait to road test this new version this weekend. Check out the video for more details and click this link to download the update.

Tried a couple of new things out this time. And some new music.
I thought I had pulled enough tracks to do a full mix, but alas, 18 tracks is only a fun half an hour
The mix is all live and done in one shot, no master tempo or fx trickery

Serato Video-SL 1.1

It must be update season or something. Serato have finally released the long awaited Video SL 1.1 plug-in. And about time I hear you say. OK, I didn’t hear anything. There’s not much call for it at the minute but it promises to be the future or something.
I’ve got the plugin (you have to pay for this add-on) but just getting video’s is proving to be either costly, or a pain. I think I’ll pass for the time being. Unless any of you promo companies fancy sending me some AV for free
